How It All Began
Hello! Abby here, owner of Pincushion. I started this business with the dream of having a co-working space for the creative minds of Las Vegas. When I moved here in 2012, I immediately fell in love with the creative energy of this city. I have been inspired by each and every person I have worked with and I have been developing the idea for Pincushion ever since I moved here. But first, here's a little bit about my journey.

I hail from Wichita, Kansas where I started my sewing journey. I am the third generation of stitchers; both of my grandmothers were excellent seamstresses and my mother was the mastermind behind every homemade formal dress in our house. I studied Theatre at Wichita State University and worked in the costume shop on campus. After college I worked in costumes for a few production companies and eventually I headed out west and landed here in the city of neon lights.

In my time here I have had the privilege of working with several theatre, entertainment, and production companies. It is in all of this work that I had fully developed the idea behind Pincushion. I understand the struggle of trying to create something great in a tiny space in my home. I also understand the frustration of finding the perfect piece of clothing that just doesn't fit right. I also appreciate the amazing work done by so many local artisans.
I knew Pincushion had to be a place where people could showcase their work, share creative ideas, and learn something new.

For classes and workshops, you can learn from some of the best-of-the-best in Las Vegas. For retail, you can shop handmade pieces from locals. For a work space, you can work with other creative minds and get ideas that you'll never find if you're stuck at home.

So, stop by, check us out, see what we're all about!
